The student at the fair was accompanied by his mentor - Dr. Jerzy Sienkiewicz.
Matia gained recognition among several bodies that grant awards and prizes at the Fair. For his project, Petros Psyllos received:  The INPEX Fair Gold Medal, a special Golden Star Award from the Chinese Association of Innovation, and a special prize from the Polish Academy of Sciences – Institute of Genetics.
The participation of the Bialystok student at the exhibition was possible thanks to funding from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education as part of the contest "The Best of the Best." Petros Psyllos is also a scholar of the program Diamond Explorers (Odkrywcy Diamentów) which is funded by the Bialystok University of Technology and companies from north-eastern Poland.
